OUR PHILOSOPHY
"If nothing ever changed, there wouldn't be butterflies."
My goal is to provide a recreational, clean and relaxing environment to foster development through exploration and play. The children in my care will benefit from sensory play, fun (yet structured!) routines and opportunities to build relationships with other children. Mistakes are allowed and seen as vehicles for cognitive growth. I see children as curious and full of potential, given the right environment, and providing the circumstances to facilitate that potential is my passion.
PROGRAMS
Learning Through Play
TODDLER
At Wee Little Explorers I provide a "home away from home" for our toddlers - where they feel safe and loved; and also where our parents feel secure and content leaving their child(ren) in my care.
Toddlerhood is an exciting and challenging stage of development as children begin to exert their independence. They are explorers, experimenters and cuddlers. My program seeks to satisfy and nurture this unique stage by offering materials for both exploradory free play and organized activities, and a loving adult for them to turn to when needed.
PRE-SCHOOL
My program is built on a foundation of warm, affectionate, and understanding relationships between myself, children and parents. We maintain an open, welcoming, and multicultural approach at all times.
Children experience positive social interactions with provider and peers. Self-help skills are encouraged throughout the daily routine. Dressing, toileting, eating and tidy up are all learning opportunities. As well, children are encouraged to make choices from available activities. Both self- help and self- selection experiences help to increase your child’s feelings of competence , independence , and self- esteem.
